We began conducting graphically sophisticated computer-aided personal interviews in the early 90s, before the Internet was mature enough to support marketing research surveys, using a proprietary network and our own software, developed in-house. By the time the infrastructure for Web interviewing had matured sufficiently for commercial survey work we had years of designing and fielding electronic surveys behind us and were able to embrace the potential of the Web at it’s fullest.
Today, with over a decade of online experience under our belts, our business is firmly based in the Web world, and two-thirds of our revenue derives directly from online surveys, our own online panels, managing proprietary client panels, online Bulletin Boards and other online methodologies.
Most of our highly skilled e-research staff has been with us since the beginning, and under their management our Web data collection system collects millions of interviews annually, operating 24/7 every day of the year. Our three geographically dispersed server clusters are located in high-security, high-availability environments, with ample reserve capacity and bandwidth to handle large projects or survive a regional disruption.
Our online infrastructure is based on the highly regarded Dimensions family of survey and analysis tools from (http://www.spss.com/dimensions/products.htm) SPSS, which provides us with a technically sophisticated standards-based survey environment.
