Quantitative Research Associate Director

The Quantitative Research Associate Director works in conjunction with other quantitative analysts to design and manage client research projects by leading project planning with both execution and client needs and strategy in mind.

Essential Duties:

  • Respond to simple client Request for Proposal (RFP) through a written proposal that outlines a recommended custom research design, methodology, timing and costs.
  • Develop and apply both basic and more complex quantitative research methods focused on marketing issues to support and facilitate project execution.
  • Develop simple screeners and questionnaires to address research objectives and prove support on complex projects.
  • Manage/supervise simpler, work with senior team members on more complex research studies that address strategic client objectives.
  • Oversee outsourced vendor relationships for tasks or processes.
  • Develop final reports for simple projects including presentation set-up, data posting, data analysis and editorial write-up. This could also include assisting with identifying themes or writing conclusions and identifying opportunities or recommendations that address clients’ business issues. Assist in the same manner on more complex projects.
  • Leverage tools like Q and Displayr for data checking, report checking and pulling, report development, data exploration.
  • Mentor and train more junior level analysts, provide guidance for more junior analysts on project teams.
  • Understand and implement digital project related tools, both internal and external, to enhance project efficiencies and data analysis.
  • Attend and support on client meetings and presentations as needed for note taking, presenting.
  • Build strong client relationships through keen project oversight that balances internal needs and client needs.

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years of total marketing insights related experience with at least 3 years in a research supplier/agency role, hands-on experience conducting custom market research projects.
  • Self-starter with full project management abilities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • A proven record of exemplary client service.
  • Ability to juggle numerous concurrent projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proven history of problem solving and exhibiting leadership managing projects.
  • Enthusiastic, engaged, and positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Significant, hands-on experience using Microsoft Office products.
