Scope Of This Policy
This privacy policy describes our practices with respect to the collection, processing, use and disclosure of personal information provided by you when you participate in one or more market research projects (“PROJECT”) conducted by C+R Research. Data We Collect
We collect information from you during and after participation in Projects. These Projects include, but are not limited to, online surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews, online discussions, and participation in a market research community. A Project may encompass one research activity, or a series of activities conducted over time.
The data we collect falls into two categories:
Data Voluntarily Provided by You
Contact information. For example, we may ask you to provide your name, email address, and ZIP code. We may also ask you to provide your street address or phone number. We may collect other I.D. numbers like usernames.
Demographic information and opinions. For example, we might ask you to provide information about your opinions and preferences. We might also ask you to provide background information about you or members of your household.
Usage and Behavioral Information: For example, we may ask you to provide when you used or bought a service or product, when you visited a facility or place. Opinions: For example, we may ask you for your opinion on existing or new services or products,
User Generated Content: We might ask you to generate content, e.g. a collage or a video for a project.
Data Collected from
Information necessary to run our digital services, protect the integrity of our operations and data. For example, we collect your device and browser information such as IP address and the type of browser you are using.
How We Use Your Data
We may use the personal information we collect for one or more of the following purposes:
- With your consent, register you for PROJECTS like market research, online surveys, focus groups, product evaluations, shopping missions, ethnographic studies, group discussions, interviews, taste tests, or other related activities.
- To design new products or services, to improve existing products, and to develop advertising programs.
- To contact you regarding any problems or questions we have relating to your participation in a research project, or at our discretion, notify you of changes to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, or other policies or terms that affect you and your participation in the research project.

- To respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations.

When We Share Your Information
We will not sell or rent your personal information.
We will share your personal information with third parties in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We will share your personal information with third parties providing services on our behalf needed to execute the PROJECTS you are participating in, such as companies, sending notification emails or text messages, providing analysis service, hosting our group discussions or communities, facilitating our in-person scheduling, hosting our taste tests, delivering a test product for in-home tests or complete incentive fulfilment, or providing data quality services.
- With your consent: We will only share your information with third parties if you have given us your explicit consent to do so.
- Legal requirement: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, we may share your information as part of the transaction.
Text Messaging
We will use text messaging ONLY to send you notifications regarding PROJECTS that you are participating in, and ONLY if we have your consent.
Data Security
The security, integrity, and confidentiality of your information are extremely important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, and modification. We regularly review our security procedures to consider appropriate new technology and methods. Despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We will retain your personal information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

Response Timing and Format
As permitted or required by applicable Privacy Laws, any request you submit to us must be a verifiable consumer request, meaning that when you make a request, we may ask you to provide verifying information, such as your name, e-mail, phone number and/or account information. We will confirm receipt of your request within ten (10) business days. If you do not receive confirmation within the 10-day timeframe, please contact privacy@crresearch.com.
We endeavor to substantively respond to a verifiable consumer request within thirty days of its receipt. Occasionally, we may deny access to your personal information if we have already provided it to you twice in the past year, if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or if legal requirements prevent compliance. If we aren’t able to comply with your request, we will provide the reason in our response.
For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable.
