Making A Difference In Our Community: 10 Years Of Partnership With The Chicago Children's Advocacy Center

Ten years ago, in May of 2008, we invited a representative from the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) to our office to share information about the organization.  After hearing the presentation, our hearts ached for the traumatized children who the Center serves. Armed with the knowledge that the ChicagoCAC was established to advocate for sexually and physically abused children and their families, the decision to partner with them was an easy one.  They have a local presence right here in Chicago, which availed us an opportunity to contribute in multiple ways—with money, sweat, and in-kind.  The organization also represents a mission that is near and dear to our organization.  We are honored to stand united with the ChicagoCAC to help them accomplish their mission to “Battle Abuse.  Restore Lives.”

In 2012, we established an internal ChicagoCAC committee at C+R to head up our fundraising efforts and to manage volunteer assignments for different events at the Center’s facility.  The committee members love being a part of this team.  Some employees remain committee members for several years.  This speaks volumes to how our employees feel about the work we do with the Center.
