Senior Analyst, Online Qualitative Research

The Online Qualitative Research Senior Analyst works as part of a collaborative team that applies myriad digital research tools and approaches to a range of client requests. involved in all aspects of overseeing and executing online qualitative research projects: from research design/proposals through written analysis/reporting and leading client discussions in debriefs or assisting with presentations of research results. Works with integrated team members across in-person qualitative, quantitative and operations practices.

responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Aid more senior researchers in responding to client Request for Proposal (RFP) through a written document that outlines a recommended research design, methodology, timing and costs.
  • Develop and apply qualitative research methods to address issues and objectives specified by client.
  • Develop discussion guides to address research objectives.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of basic qualitative projects, including field coordination, activity set up across different digital platforms, quality control, moderation, and report publishing.Assist with more complex projects.
  • Moderate research projects and activities on various online qualitative research platforms.
  • Develop final reports including presentation set-up and “read-out” of findings (as needed), data analysis and editorial write-up.This will also include writing conclusions and identifying opportunities or recommendations that address clients’ business issues.
  • Assist senior researchers in report writing for more complex projects.
  • Learning how to leverage creative activities for storytelling across simple qualitative methodologies.
  • Coordinate, host, and run client work sessions and debriefs for most projects.
  • Aid in the training and development of Analysts and Associates reports.
  • Aid in the analysis for hybrid qualitative and quantitative analysis and reports.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations as needed.

Skills and experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in custom marketing research as a supplier.
  • Hands-on online qualitative or traditional qualitative research experience – online communities, discussion boards, mobile research/ethnographies, webcam or mobile 1-on-1 interviews, ethnographies, onsite interviews, etc.
  • Must have leadership, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Resourceful self-starter with an inquisitive mind and a passion for consumer research.
  • Enthusiastic, engaged, and positive attitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (particularly PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
  • High interest and comfort utilizing internet technologies.
  • Experience with online marketing research communities, bulletin boards, journaling platforms, etc.
